Step 1: Set Up Customer Account in Odoo

Before settling, ensure credit is enabled:

  • Go to the 𝗖𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗿𝘀 contact in Odoo and select or create a customer profile.

Step 2: Process the Credit Payment in POS

Here’s how the customer pays with credit:

  • Open a POS session and add items to the cart.
  • At checkout, select the customer from the POS interface (𝗰𝗹𝗶𝗰𝗸 “𝗖𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗿” and search their name).
  • Choose the “𝗖𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗿 𝗔𝗰𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘁”payment option.
  • Confirm the transaction—Odoo logs it as a credit-based sale.

The payment is recorded, but it will not be settled until paid.

Step 3: Close the POS Session

To move toward settlement:

  • End your shift by clicking “Close Session” in POS.
  • Review the session summary.
  • Validate the session to sync data with Odoo’s accounting and invoicing modules.
